The skimming systems & flotation tanks are manufactured according to the process requirements and the specifications of the paint booth. Therefore, they can be produced in desired architectures (rectangular, cylindrical, etc.) as well as in the desired volume based on the layout and paint booth needs.
When designing a skimming & flotation tank tank, the following factors should be taken into consideration:
There is a correlation between the type of paint to be applied in the paint booth (water-based and/or solvent-based paint) and the volume of the scraper & reaction tank. This is because the reaction time of solvent-based paint with chemicals is 3 minutes per unit, while water-based paint has a reaction time of 4 minutes. Therefore, if two systems with the same booth architecture use water-based paint in one and solvent-based paint in the other, the volume of the tank for each system should not be the same.
